DRAWING & ACTIVITY BOOK

Out of Darkness - Heavy is the Crown: Drawing & Activity book is a drawing book that teaches the basics of the Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic alphabet. Inside the book is the Ancient Egyptian document, "The Papyrus of Ani" in addition to a basic Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic alphabet and other import hieroglyphic symbols. The book contains all original artwork with hand drawn illustrations of the various Neteru of Ancient Egypt, with an accompanying space for the reader to draw and illustrate what inspires them about the illustration. In the back of the book are line art illustrations to color in, along with a few simple activities for additional practice learning the Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs (Medu Neter).

WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY SCREENING

Walk Through the Valley is an expansive project that involves the production of four films that will illustrate the history of the city of Detroit, from its early settlement through modern day. Walk Through the Valley, a four-part documentary film, tells the history of Detroit though the eyes of some of Detroit’s most renowned historians, educators, authors, and political representatives, and is visualized with breathtaking imagery. For the first time Detroit’s original inhabitants are brought to life with cutting edge digital A.I technology, and Detroit’s historic neighborhoods revisited through exclusive never before seen photographs, presented over a soulful soundtrack featuring some of Detroit’s most gifted musicians.

HEAVY IS THE CROWN VOL. 1

In this second installment in the Out of Darkness series, Heavy is the Crown explores the African origins of the world's major religions by examining the "original mythological story" that has served as the basis for spiritual systems across the planet.

SETTLEMET OF DETROIT

Detroit’s early history is explored though historical documents as Walk Through the Valley travels back in time to its early periods of Native American settlement and its subsequent French, British and American occupations. The subject of slavery in the north is discussed in addition to detailing some of Detroit’s earliest notable figures, from Antoine Cadillac to Augustus B. Woodward.
